The President of Turkmenistan, who arrived in Tajikistan on a state visit, held talks in Dushanbe on May 10 with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting in a narrow format and in an expanded format with the participation of government delegations, the heads of state discussed the development of Turkmen-Tajik cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
As a result of the Turkmen-Tajik talks at the highest level, a solid package of bilateral documents was signed, designed to give impetus to the expansion of cooperation between the two states in key areas. Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Emomali Rahmon signed the Declaration on deepening the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tajikistan.
